Tell congress to raise emission standards to 35 mpg

Late last week, the Senate passed a bill to increase fuel efficiency standards (from 25 to 35 mpg!) for the first time since 1975!
Now we need your help to make sure that the House does the same when it casts its votes on fuel efficiency in the next few weeks.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by July 4th to double our efforts to educate the public and key members of Congress before it's too late.

Help put America's energy future on track with a secure, tax-deductible gift to our Energy Independence campaign.

Your contribution will give us the resources we need to educate Congress about the importance of clean, renewable fuels, to tell the public what's at stake, and to recruit and mobilize activists across the country - like you! - to make sure our nation's leaders hear the message loud and clear.

Americans cast off the shackles of colonialism centuries ago. Now, it is time to rid ourselves of our dependence on foreign oil and other dirty, dangerous fossil fuels.
A forward-looking Energy Bill must include strong renewable energy requirements, and fuel economy standards that make our vehicles go further on every gallon of gas (like the ones that were just passed in the Senate!)
It will cut global warming pollution, create jobs, save consumers money, and increase our energy independence.

We now have an opportunity to put America on a new course. Help us fight backwards policies like liquid coal, and promote cooler cars, clean energy, and increased fuel efficiency.
Give today. Help us raise $10,000 by Independence Day to make it Energy Independence Day.
Together, we can usher in a new energy era.
