Sign the petietion to Stop Building More Nukes!

Did you know that the nuclear warheads we already have will last at least another 50 years? So why does the Bush Administration want to build more?

America - and the world - does not need more nuclear weapons! Tell the 2008 presidential hopefuls to make a nuclear weapons-free world a priority for their campaigns >>

Proposed nuclear programs such as the Reliable Replacement Warhead (RRW) and Complex 2030 are not only unnecessary, they encourage others to acquire nuclear weapons, and move us farther from the goal of a world free from the nuclear threat.

Our next President must be a global leader in reversing the reliance on nuclear weapons and preventing their acquisition by terrorists.

Rather than new nuclear weapons or a new weapons complex, the U.S. needs a thorough review of its outdated nuclear weapons policy, and a clear strategy for engaging the international community – nuclear and non-nuclear nations alike – in global nuclear disarmament.

Even a small regional nuclear war could cause more deaths than the 62 million people who were killed during World War II. We cannot wait any longer for decisive leadership toward a nuclear-free future. Take action >> http://go.care2.com/e/R8BW/hedG/Erx6

Now is the time for 2008 presidential candidates to offer us a creative vision for reducing and ultimately eliminating nuclear weapons! Thank you for making a difference today – on behalf of our children and future generations.
